This is absolutely one of my favorite places to eat in. I love Korean bbq so much however sometimes eating at a Korean bbq place can get crazy cause you have to cook your own food on a grill and it usually best to go to a Korean bbq place when it is an occasion. I love bowllin’ because they serve Korean bbq food in a bowel which is awesome and taste amazing. So it comes in a bowel you can choose whatever type of base you want i usually go with kimchi fried rice. Then you choose the meat I usually go with basa fish. And lastly you choose your side I usually go with kimchi. I recommend everyone to check this place out.

- Maoz Falafel & Grill

This is another one of my favorite places ever. This is a place that serves Mediterranean food that taste amazing. So this place has a three step ordering process. So first you start with the basics. You can pick a pita pocket, rice bowl, hummus bowl, or salad. And then you choose the protein. You can choose chicken schwarma, beef kebab, falafel, and vegetarian schwarma. And lastly choose your sauce.
I know some people going to say that water fasting or even starving yourself is crazy. But, I mainly did this as a challenge to myself and of course losing a couple pounds isn’t bad.
How this even started
Last month, my friend just randomly said that she wanted to do a master cleanse and I stupidly agreed not knowing the rules of a master cleanse, which involves you drinking lemon, water, and cayenne pepper all mixed together while taking a laxative. I told her “hell no” after finding out you have to do this for 14 days. We then agreed to do a 14 day water fast, with you only drinking water.
The first day was probably the easiest considering the fact I made sure I had a FEAST before the fast. I was working which helped the day go by faster and help me forget about food. The second day, I had my day off which I spent at home (probably the worst mistake). The gallons of water I was drinking already gave me no satisfaction, since it had no taste. My cravings was so bad I ended up putting a skittle in my gallon of water for taste. But my biggest mistake was eating a piece of chicken my mother made, eating it I felt as if I was eating something so luxurious like a burger made with gold, when it was just a piece of chicken. But, I even surprised myself by only eating just one piece for that day.
DAY 3/DAY HELL
The third day was probably hardest day for me. I ended up becoming weak and tired just from simple tasks like walking up the stairs. I started to sleep and stay in bed a lot just to get rid of headaches I had. I used Instagram as a coping method by looking cooking pages, pretending that I was eating it. The fourth day, I had to work and I couldn’t even stand. People at work were eating in front of my face, and I would just stare at their plates of food. I gave up, I realized I couldn’t go another day especially while I was working. I ended up buying a sandwich and then McDonalds.
Water fasting is probably the best way to clear your system and I would do it again, but longer. Sure it’s sucks during the time you’re doing it, but afterwards you feel refreshed just like working out. In the end, I lost three pounds, my face cleared a lot, saved money, and appreciated food more.

Yesterday when I have some food in an Japanese restaurant, I suddenly found that why is the head of Japanese chopsticks so sharp?
Chinese one (left) and Japanese one (right)
So I try to find the answer of this question. And then I thought that may because the difference of the food we eat. As we all know, Japan is an island country. So fish may be their main food. Chopsticks originated in China. And when this culture was spread to Japan at about Tang Dynasty, people in Japan may find that it’s hard to separate fish and fish-bone using chopsticks. So they make the head of them sharp to eat fish more easily.
There is another main difference that Japanese chopsticks are shorter than Chinese ones. That reason may be the different ways to eat. Nowadays Chinese people like to eat together which means we need long chopsticks to get the food from a big table. But Japanese followed the ancient tradition to eat separately. So their chopsticks are shorter.
At last, here is a link to the restaurant I mentioned before.

So I went to New Orleans over the spring break, the place is amazing, full of Jazz music, art, and great food. Besides seafood and the French hot doughnuts ( which was AMAZING as well, the store is 24/7, you can also order a cup of nice cafe au lait there!) ,
, the must try in New Orleans are Gumbo and Jambalaya. I never heard about Gumbo and Jambalaya before going to New Orleans and had done some little study about the food! Here is some little introduction about Gumbo and Jambalaya.
Gumbo is more like a creamy stew, sometimes is on the top of the rice, sometimes is alongside.
The restaurant I went to is simply called Gumbo Shop, when I was searching restaurants in New Orleans, everybody recommends this restaurant. I ordered the Chicken Gumbo and it was great! You might want to go between lunch and dinner time because this place gets super crowded.
630 St Peter St, New Orleans, LA 70116
Jambalaya is more like a paella, when making Jambalaya, people cook the rice together with it.
I had Jambalaya at the same restaurant where I had Gumbo, but I found this place at midtown west where they serve Southern food, it’s called “Bourbon Street Bar & Grille”, and its located 346 west 46th street, between 8th and 9th ave.
And don’t forget to order the famous Hurrican cocktail with the food!
