This past week was Spring Break, a long-standing tradition for US University when students are encouraged to go bazinga before the ned of the semester to releases all the stress and anxiety from the 10.000 pieces of homework they have.
My choice of poison was London in the United Kingdom. The week there was splendid.
Politeness and Elegance was everywhere; this wasn’t my first time in London but I forgot how polite and well dressed everyone was (and hot 😏)
While we were there we did all the usual Spring Breaker stuff; partying, shopping and so much f*king tea.
Museums and Galleries too! It was truly lovely. London is also quite ahead
London is also quite ahead with regards to their transportation system. They have NFC enabled POS everywhere and they don’t get shocked at the sight of Apple Pay. Their Subway is called the tube (don’t dare say it Subway or else you are one of those Yankees.) London has implemented the Oyster system which is an NFC-enabled refillable card that can be used across their transportation system. (Hear that MTA?)
Of course, while we were there a terrible thing happened, a terror attack or as I’d like to call a coo-coo person wanted to kill people.
While we were at the Tate Modern (think MoMA of London) there was an armed man with a knife who out of nowhere started running over pedestrians in the Parliaments in Westminister. After running over at least 40 people he got out and stabbed an officer who unfortunately died along with a woman who he literally ran over her.
It was a sad and despicable event that shocked Europe.
What was wonderful though is the Londoners responce and resilience. They bounced back instantly and with great strength
And that is what is good to remember; terror is a two-way street, do not succumb.
