Today i am still telling the Cthulhu Mythos.
Nyarlathotep is a character in the works of H. P. Lovecraft and other writers. The character is commonly known in association with its role as a malign deity in the Lovecraft Mythos fictional universe, where it is known as the Crawling Chaos. First appearing in Lovecraft’s 1920 prose poem of the same name, he was later mentioned in other works by Lovecraft and by other writers and in the tabletop role-playing games making use of the Cthulhu Mythos. Later writers describe him as one of the Outer Gods.
Different from other Outer Gods that imprisoned by Elder Gods, Nyarlathotep is the only one that this space doesn’t limit his strength, also a few one who puts up the rationalists that human could understand.
Nyarlathotep Is the messenger and agent of the Great Old Ones especially Azathoth. Nyarlathotep‘s human incarnation is usually a dark skin, tall stature, with a hearty smile man.
Nyarlathotep is always keen to deceive and tempt man, and to make man into the highest joy of terror and despair. In Cthulhu Mythos, its figure is closest to the traditional concept of “devil” and “Trickster”.
In the short story ”The Shadow from the Steeple” written by Robert Albert Bloch, even suggested that Nyarlathotep had instigated humen to build nuclear weapons.
Nyarlathotep has thousands of Avatars, including The Crawling Chaos, The Faceless God, The Faceless Sphinx, The Black Pharaoh, Bloated Woman, Crawling Mis, Dark Demon, Dark One, The Floating Horror, Howler in the Dark, The Thing in the Yellow Mask , The Haunter of the Dark, The Dweller in Darkness and so on ,so he was called God of a Thousand Forms.
A shiny trapezohedron is the artifact that can summon the avatar of Nyarlathotep. It will not start if the light shines, but will summon the avatar if you put it in the dark space.
By the way, Nyarlathotep appears in the rencnt works as a beautiful young girl with silver hair and green eyes, quite different from his usual figure before.
