Last Tuesday, I got my first GMAT test in Pearson Professional Center on 100 William St. Since I have only prepared for nearly 1 month, I knew I would not be able to get a satisfying grade. I comforted myself that just took this GMAT as an experience to get familiar with the exam system and got the real feeing of the peace of contributing time wisely on each question.
It is so interesting that when you enter the exam room, you have to put your palm on the machine to identify your status and put your glass off to examine whether it is high technology or something.
I have only prepared the math for 2 days before the exam. Just simply went through the math review on the official guideline and memorized some math concept in English. Then I got 50/51 on the math part… I have to say it is really easy for Chinese to get a high grade in the math part as long as one can understand the question.
Then I failed on the verbal part… The structure of the sentence is long and has many long alphabet word. I knew that GMAT is a test to examine your logical ability, but how I can succeeded in this exam with the condition that I couldn’t understand the question and material thoroughly? I was suffered when I was doing this part, feeling helpless and once thinking to quit the exam.
Although I only got 640/800 on my first one month prepared GMAT, still a far distance to my goal 700+. I won’t give up and I will reschedule my time and reviewing plan based on the experience. Maybe I will try another test on 23 December or at the end of the December. Work hard girl!
