On my friend’s 23rd birthday, we decided to go to this cute Japanese BBQ restaurant in the east village called Gyu Kaku.
On days when I’m not super lazy, I enjoy cooking; so obviously when I heard about this place I was super excited.
So we made a reservation for 8pm. Now my roommate and I thought we were late because by the time we left home it was already 7:50pm. To our surprise we were the first ones there. Surprise surprise!
We were over half an hour late so our table had been taken. We had to wait another half an hour before getting seated. Now I don’t blame the restaurant, I take responsibility for being late (although I was still the first person there *insert shade*)
Being a food lover, it took me forever trying to figure out what I wanted because their menu was just so appealing. The best part about their menu is that they have happy hours everyday from 11:30 am to 6 pm and Mondays to Thursdays they have a late happy hour from 9:30 pm to 11 pm. But again we were late so we missed that.
Here is a link to their menu.
To be honest I am so happy I did not go crazy and order more food then I could eat. When I say my eyes eat more than my body I am not joking.
I would totally recommend this place to all food lovers out there.
p.s. I would have taken more pictures of the actual cooking process but i had food in my mind.
