As the year is coming to an end, only having one more month left, I cant help but to reflect on all the things that have happened in 2016. Trump got elected which was shocking, Kim was robbed at gunpoint and many other things that will be remembered this year. One thing I cant help but notice from talking to friends and being on social media is that a lot of people including myself are leaving people behind starting the new year. In my case, every year I try to bring it in with positivity and good energy so it is very important for me to leave behind anything or anyone that isn’t bringing positivity into my life anymore. Having conversations with my friends I will joke and say… “yeah, butyou know you’re going to talk to that person again” or “you know you’re not going to become a vegan”(poking fun at my friend that reads my blogs) because that is the honest truth, every year we say were coming into the new year being new persons but when does that really happen? Do we say it just to say it or do we actually act on it and execute it. Reflecting on the year is always good for me and serves as a fat-checker. I realize what good I did throughout the year and what needs some fixing. What I do is that I look back at my resolutions and see the things that I did and the ones that I didn’t, then I try to figure out why some of my resolutions weren’t met and add them again to my new list of resolutions. I think making a list and actually spending time reflecting is important because it helps you grow as a person and shows you briefly what it was that you did in the year.
