So about two weeks ago, my boss approached another co-worker and I wondering if we were interested in going to a hockey game. I had never really payed any attention to the sport of hockey so it didn’t really matter to me, but I went along with it and accepted. I work at a doctor’s office and a lot of our doctors refer patients to physical therapy, specifically Professional PT, and so they were inviting some of the staff to a hockey game.
Professional PT is actually the official provider of physical therapy to the NY Islanders team and so they were getting suite at NY Islanders vs. Montreal Canadiens. My boss kept telling us how he was so excited he was which I was too but, I didn’t exactly know the rules or anything. The whole time I was wondering if I was going to even understand the sport. I had only been to one Knicks basketball game and a Colombia national team soccer game ever so I guess you can say I’m not great at keeping up with or watching sports.
The game was at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn and I hadn’t been to that center either, so by that night I was pretty excited. We got there early and were escorted to our suite. Some reps from the physical therapy company came and there were also a few doctors. There was food, beer and the view was perfect, what else could I have asked for, it was free! Unfortunately the Islanders lost 2 -1 but it was a pretty fun game. I was especially surprised by how physical the players were with one another, there was even a fight towards the end and that pumped up the crowd even more. All in all, I had a really great time, so thank you Professional PT!
