Last night I experienced a concert like I never have before. One of my best friends had her birthday earlier this month and her parents bought her VIP Tickets with Early Entry to the Carrie Underwood Concert at Madison Square Garden.
These VIP Passes got you in the standing area right next to the stage so that you can experience the concert up close and personal. The Early Entry got you there early than anyone else so that you can pick your spot right in front. Which is actually pretty necessary because otherwise you will have to stand behind a bunch of heads.
We got to Madison Square Garden at 5 and then let us in the arena at 5:45. Walking into the Arena where the Knicks play their games and seeing the stage all set up with the lights and camera crew was pretty amazing and so surreal. After taking 5 minutes to decide where to stand to get the perfect view of Carrie we finally took our spot and ended being a really good one because we had a perfect view of where she entered and got off the stage and she stood near that area a lot. But of Course before the concert started I had to leave my spot because I hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast and I didn’t drink anything all day so if I didn’t get something I would not have made it through the concert. As my friend attempted to save my spot I ran to the concession stand to get a water and a pretzel. Of course when I came back someone took the spot next to my friend. My friend didn’t have any room to save me anything. It was all good though, I wasn’t going to start a fight over it. I still had a great view right behind my friend and we switched on and off.
Seeing a concert up close like that is defiantly an experience I’ll never forget. When you are in the pit it’s like you are immersed in the performance as well. From the lights, to the stage mechanics, the band interacting with you and of course Carrie underwood performing right in front of you. It was incredible!!
