For as long as I can remember I always wanted a little puppy. Unfortunately, my family was the type of family that didn’t like any pets. My mom always thought of dogs as wild animals and for me this was very hard since I felt the complete opposite. When I was just a little girl I struggled a lot with this, because it used to be the only thing I really wanted. As time went by and I got older I slowly started giving up on having a puppy, mostly because I started noticing how big of a responsibility it would be and knowing no one else will look after the puppy made me give up on the whole idea.
When the summer swept by this year I was very very excited, the semester was finishing up, I was turning twenty-two which for me was better than being twenty-one and I was finally living on my own, in my own space so I could’ve done as I pleased. Since I’ve gained my independence I have been thinking a lot about buying a puppy to finally fulfill my childhood dreams and as of two weeks now I finally did! I finally become the mother of my little baby Kingsley. Kingsley is still not home living with me because he’s a newborn and still needs the support and nourishment from his dog-mommy. Nonetheless I am so happy and can’t wait to have him home with me, thinking about having such a huge responsibility has given me a bit of anxiety but this is what I always wanted so I’m going for it! They always say a dog is a man’s best friend so I hope to have that same relationship with mine.
