Recently this past friday me and my mom went to Chinatown for my birthday I just turned 19. The reason we went to Chinatown was because there was a specific restaurant I wanted to to that was only in Chinatown. It served things like dumplings, duck and dim sum real authentic Chinese food.
Chinatown Is such a drastically different place from Brooklyn. Other than the obvious reasons such as the asian majority population, language and food. Things like their streets and mannerisms. Now I have been to Chinatown several times in the past mostly for food (dim sum is tastes amazing btw) I’ve never actually stopped and observed the people there.
The last time I went which was very recently There were people smoking everywhere on every corner. This really bothered because well no one likes secondhand smoke and two because i I have Asthma. I had to hold My breath until we got to the restaurant. After we finished eating at the Restaurant. We left and it was still the same as when we came in. Although it was convenient because it was a reasonably travel distance from my house I think next time I’ll go out for sushi instead.
