Thanksgiving has always been something new to me. My country celebrates similar holiday like Thanksgiving during the month of September while the United States celebrates it during November. November has always been my favorite month due to my birthday and Thanksgiving holiday, and as for this year’s Thanksgiving, two of my best friends and I visited a cabin in Woodstock NY. Woodstock is known for its past music festivals with great musicians lined up however, today, it is a quiet little town upstate of Manhattan. We got a beautiful little cabin through Airbnb and our host Carol was an elderly woman who lived right next door. As my friends drank their way through the holiday, I had a long conversation with Carol about what New York and Woodstock was like in the past. I was amazed to see the change from the past to present and she was kind enough to show me her home along with gifting fruits for my friends and I to eat. I had a great time during this vacation and my most exciting part about this trip was the fact that I was getting out of the city. It was nice to see clear skies with very little people around. Now it’s time to finish school strong! This was our backyard. The trail that leads to the cabin.Building fire.
