Last week was midterm week for me. I had several papers due, and midterms to deal with. So needless to say when the weekend came I was ready for full on relaxation time. When I am really recovering from a stressful week, I like to let my inner child out. One of my absolute favorite shows growing up was Rocko’s Modern Life. It has been some time since I’ve watched this show, but I received the DVD set for christmas last year. I never got a chance to open it. This weekend felt like the right time to do just that. So instead of going out on Friday night, I took a shower, grabbed some snacks and headed to the most comfortable place I know, my bed. I slid the DVD in and let myself travel back to my childhood. If you’ve never seen the show, I really recommend it. The first few episodes aren’t as great as the ones that follow so you may have to skip through a few. Basically, the show follows a kangaroo who deals with different obstacles throughout the show, often involving his idiot best friend, Heifer. You also meet his nightmarish frog neighbors and his awkward turtle friend, Filburt (who I love). If you’re a fan of The Angry Beavers or even Spongebob, I would suggest giving this show a chance. You won’t regret it, I promise.
