As you can see, I went skydiving. Here’s the full video if you were wondering how it’s like, or if you care. I sincerely recommend going at least once in your life, I had an amazing time (appropriately used). I can be basic and say it was a surreal experience, or I can say that your mindset will determine the way you feel. And you want to feel the adrenaline rush.
My friend, Paul, was very scared as it was his first time doing something this extreme, but I encouraged him as he came in with an open mind. As a result of being fearful, he was very quiet and nervous, which then had influence on his skydiving instructor. His skydiving instructor was less animated and didn’t really give any instruction on what to do as we jumped.
I came in, with a positive attitude, as soon as I felt scared I started jumping around like monkey and telling myself “you got this, f^ck it, let’s gooo!” The 3 years of operating roller coasters at Six Flags and motorcycle trips with my pops prepared me as I was ready and willing to jump out of a plane. My instructor on the other hand, was very personable and we both had a terrible “dad joke” war ascending to altitude. As we were parachuting downwards I was manning the controls till it was necessary to land.
My cheesy last blog is trying to tell you to do things with a positive mindset. Basically the convoluted ideology behind The Secret. I thought it was fitting, considering most of our class are full of graduating seniors.
Sidenote: Drake seems to always be following me around wherever I go. If you’re wondering how to get Drake into your photos, it’s a silly app called Drake Shake. I actually do not condone his rapping abilities.
