Have you ever been in charge of bringing dessert to the bake sale, or you promised to make the cookies for the potluck dinner with your friends? Have you ever completely forgot to make anything until a half hour before you’re supposed to be at the event?
I definitely have. These cookies are not only easy and super quick to make, but they are DELICIOUS. I have been making these cookies for about 6 years now and they are my favorite quick dessert fix. In about 20 minutes you can bake these babies to perfection and be on your way to that birthday part you totally forgot to write on your calendar.
1 box of chocolate cake mix (I use Betty Crocker Super Most fudge chocolate)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
*You can use ANY flavor cake mix, add any extras like chocolate chips or nuts that you want, the chocolate are the easiest to me because they are the hardest to mess up
Thats it, THREE ingredients!! I love it.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Throw all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix!! Use a wood or plastic spoon to mix them because the dough is actually really thick, not good for an electric mixer.
Put them on a cookie sheet and pop them in the oven! 12-15 minutes later they are done!! They come out hot and crumbling and they will cool to be pretty hard, they taste awesome though! If you put them on a cookie sheet in a ball they often will not flatten out because the dough is so thick, when this happens to be at about 5 minutes in the oven I will take a fork and pat them down a little flatter, it just looks better when they come out.
Just like that, you have a great dessert that I PROMISE people will be asking you about. Everyone asks me for this recipe anytime I bring them. Enjoy!
