Upon game day, I had planned to meet up with my dad and some of his work buddies in midtown Nørrebro (half hipster/half ghetto neighborhood in downtown CPH). At approximately 2 pm, everyone was hammered in the streets, because yes, it is legal to drink in public in Denmark. So along with the group of 40-50 year old drunk men, I made my way towards the stadium.
Everything after that was a blur. There were some great moments I still remember, such as the tifo, the goals, the celebration afterwards, and most of all, the struggle of getting my dad home.
A few days after the game, F.C. Copenhagen’s production team released a video from the game, and oh boy, was it good. Now, if there is one thing I am almost as passionate about as soccer, it has to be video production, and the camera direction on this one has made headlines around the world:
please watch this in 1080p HD
Granted, I would have edited it differently, put in more of a climax when the game ended, but the visual of the field from 2:30 and onward is simply outstanding. If I were to sum up my trip into one presentation, I would show people this clip. Don’t worry though, a more detailed description of my Spring Break escapades will follow in my next blog post. To be continued…
