After leaving NYIT on Friday afternoon, I wanted to see what the commotion was about this time at Columbus Circle. I see a huge truck with the Snuggle logo on it and a line of people, all waiting for their free Snuggle teddy bear! For those of you who don’t know, Snuggle is a brand of fabric softener for laundry to keep it soft and smelling sweet. Outside there were representatives giving out mini bears for free, holding signs that read #ShareASnug to share the moment. They said if you wanted a bigger bear, you had to step inside the SnugMobile to be part of attempting to break the Guinness World Record for hugging – 5,000 hugs in 8 hours. I waited in line for about 10 minutes to enter a cozy atmosphere of sweet sounds and the fresh scent of Snuggle Softener, to write my name and age down in the book for the record, and given the bigger bear! I then saw a promotional screen to visit share.snuggle.com to send your friends sweet valentines online. There was a Guinness World Records Adjudicator standing next to the exit, watching as I hugged the Snuggle Bear himself. I left that SnugMobile feeling quite giddy as I just got my mother’s Valentine’s Day gift. ~ For more details, click here.
