Nick (Ben Affleck) and Amy (Rosamund Pike) are pretty, rich, professionally fulfilled and apparently in love. At least, that is what they want to believe and make believe to their wordily entourage. As a matter of fact, under this supposed happiness, their is an heiress who is bored and a man who doesn’t manage to be the man he wants to.
The morning of their fifth anniversary of marriage, Amy is gone. We don’t know how, we don’t know when, and we don’t know why. Her husband is quickly suspected because of the traces of bloods on their clean apartment. Police, journalists and friends; they are all against Nick. The ideal husband becomes a murderer who killed his wife without any pity. The ideal couple lost this title and became a couple with a lot of problems. Press reveals that Nick was not faithful to his wife and harasses him to get all kind of vendors informations.
Finally, one fine day, Amy reappears full of blood and run on her husband’s arms.
