This Saturday, I went to Six Flags with four other French friends. It was such a great day; it was hot and sunny but not too much. And as it was only April, there were not too many people in the park so we didn’t have to struggle with huge waiting lines!
We rented a car for the day and arrived there at around 11am. The park was really nice! I’ve only been to one Six Flags before, the one in Montréal called La Ronde and in fact it reminded me a bit of it for the rides are quite similar but with different names.
My friends did SkyScreamer first (I didn’t) which they did not really enjoy actually. Then, we did the Runaway Mine Train which was more violent that we thought ahah. Right behind it there was El Toro. No way I would do it. I hate rollercoaster made of wood. But my friends did and yes they told me it was pretty intense. Then we ate and did something a bit more moderate in order to digest well: Houdini’s Great Escape. Right after we did Batman which was awesome and Nitro was just behind so we went to the line. I’d already done the Goliath in Montreal which is kind of the same as the Nitro, but seriously, how not to freak out when you see it? And I made some researches; the Nitro is actually higher and faster than the Goliath (230 ft and 80 mph). I was freaking out so much when the train was going up. Seriously, when does it stop?! And the first slope was endless as well. Oh god. But I’m so happy I did it, it was so much fun! Then we really wanted to do Superman. We waited in line for almost an hour when they announced that all of the outside rides were closing because a thunder was coming. Well, it’s a shame but we still enjoyed our day a lot!
Have you ever been there? Which ride is your favorite?
