To give a new image of museums twitter offers to explore cultural institutions of France through a thematic day during one week. Several museums in the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy also wanted to participate and give a European dimension to the event.
This week began today and finishes the 30th March.
Every day a different topic will be discussed on Twitter by all the museums via a dedicated hashtag: exclusive content, photos and even Vines will be published and open to all. Customers will also be invited to share their passion and knowledge with the hashtag #MuseumWeek.
Unfortunately, everything is in French, so you can try to follow but you have to translate almost everything. However, you can see some pictures of museums’ backstage, paintings, museums’ architecture.
These platforms highlight interactive tours. Thus, it is not you who move to culture, but it is culture that comes to you while you are sitting in front of your computer screen or your phone. It’s a new way for make you want to go to a museum for real.
