As a do-it-yourselfer one of first few things you learn is how to patch Drywall. When it comes to small holes you can get a way with just a layer of compound and then sanding it smooth. Bigger Holes require a new piece of drywall to fit the hole tape and compound. then sandign and re compounding and then sanding again until its smooth.
Contrary to what this picture depicts 99% of people who are sanding are not happy about doing it. I just noticed he doesn’t even have a a piece of sand paper on his sanding block. Bad image choice on my part. Anyway sanding compound can be come very annoying very fast. For me it happens about two minuets after I start. For the past two weeks i have been patching and sanding the new soffit in my brothers bedroom. Sanding sucks because in order not to get sick you should wear a face mask or a respirator. Along with on of those two you should wear safety glasses of some kind to keep the dust out of your eyes. These become very hot very fast and make it uncomfortable. Then on top of this the dust thats created collects on and sticks to everything. This dust defies gravity, it is sticking ti the ceiling that I just sanded. but all this hard work becomes worth it when your all finished and can stand back an know unless something happens you wont have to do it again in that room.
