As you may have noticed now, I am very much into music. However, this week I want to share with you my other passion: baking!
From far as I can remember I have always been fascinated and amazed by cakes. When I was passing by a bakery as a kid, I was literally going to stick my face on the window. Ok … I still do. French pastries are so delicious. Though, I quickly discovered those typical American cakes with all these cream frostings that look so beautiful and tasty at the same time.
A few years ago, when I was around 15 I think, I started to really want to try make them myself. And the ones that I admired the most were the legendary cupcakes. They look simple but so lovely at the same time and it opens up tons of possibilities for the decoration. The first ones I made were ok but not great. They were too big, not light and fluffy enough therefore almost impossible to finish. Throughout the years I tried to improve myself, and I still do. In 2011 I went to the USA for a year so I had the opportunity to taste amazing cupcakes and to identify the things I should improve for mine. When I came back I was so motivated. So, from 2012 until now, I’ve done many different cupcakes, different tastes but also various decorations. My family and my friends started to get crazy about it. I was never missing an occasion to bake some: birthdays, Christmas, picnics… I even got the chance to sell some during a music festival in Paris last summer and it worked pretty well!
I started a blog to post pictures of my cakes. Unfortunately I’m not updating very much but you can still check it out: cupcakesrhapsody.tumblr.com
I talked too much, now you want to see some pictures so here they are!

Harry Potter Cupcakes: Key Lime Cupcakes
Red Velvet Cupcakes
For the moment my project in life is to work for music events. However, you must always have a plan B and mine is to possibly open a cupcakes business. Hope to see you there!
