Have you ever tried tube racing down a snowy mountain? This past weekend, I drove up to Mountain Creek, which mind you is so close by to the city, and experienced my first snow tubing adventure. It took me about an hour and 15 minutes to arrive, where I was there to have some fun. As soon as you get to the parking lot, you are greeted by a blue shuttle bus that will transport you to the mountain. Scattered across the bottom of the mountain are hundreds of big red tubes. Since we planned ahead of time and purchased our tickets online, our waiting time was very little. I do suggest making a reservation days before arriving because I overheard families trying to get a spot and the next reservation was not until 5:30 that night. The staff at Mountain Creek are pretty accommodating and within 10 minutes of arriving, we were ready to take the mountain! This was probably the best time of my winter season. Since we have been getting plowed with snow, it is nice to put it to good use with an awesome view. Each session is about two hours long and my group was able to get 11 rides in. After two hours, I will admit you have had enough! As fun as tubing was it definitely knocked the wind out of me… Literally! Have you ever gone snow tubing before? Do you know any other ski resorts that offer this? Please do tell!
