Ever since the advent of SOPA and PIPA internet piracy has been more frowned upon then ever. In order to not support the illegal distribution of copyrighted video I recently joined both Hulu and Netflix. I have to say that I really prefer Hulu to Netflix. Netflix seems to have some of the cheesiest movies selections that are possible to assemble but Hulu has the most up to date and popular TV shows for streaming. I’ve ended up using Hulu a lot more and one of the most recent recommendations I got was a show called Solitary that was originally aired on the Fox Reality Channel. When I saw the advertisement I realized I had previous seen many episodes of Solitary. ABout three years ago I remember my girlfriend and I stumbled on the show when we were watching random television and we stuck with it for that day since they were airing a marathon. I was really excited to be pleasantly reminded of this show by Hulu and last week me, my girlfriend, and our roommate watched Season One. The game Solitary itself consist of 9 players who are isolated into small pods. They will spend 100 days in the pods isolated from everyone but an interactive computer named Val. Val puts the contestants through various tasks that border sadistic until all but one player cave to the confines of Solitary. If you have Hulu I’d totally recommend watching this. It’s a reality show, a game show contest and a sociological experiment all wrapped in one. I’d highly encourage anyone to check it out and I’ll be watching the other three seasons as soon as possible.
