An association between Sarah Anne Ward, Heather Meldrom and Michelle Gatton, food stylists, looks like this: a collection of dessert edible art based on famous paintings.
Sarah Anne Ward is a famous photographer.
She is based in New York and is specializing in food/drinks, soft-goods and product photography. It customers include The New York Times, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Wine & Spirits, The MOMA, etc…
She studied photography at Rochester Institute of Technology and operates from her studio in midtown Manhattan.
I like her artistic style, colors that emerge from his photographies, balance that prevails, her way to find out how highlight an inanimate thing, to giving if necessary impressions of movement in a still image …
This project, “Art Dessert” is incorporated perfectly into the current trend; cook healthy, balanced eating for good health …
Food out of context to put it into an art object; something that does not serve our primary need to feed ourselves or our greed, offers a different perspective on the thing, allows to exit the frame for a moment and forget this too oppressive war of ideas between eating “organic” and “junk food”.

I want to talk to you about an amazing art project that I find very interesting!
This is the Inside Out Project by the french photographer JR.
He started this project in 2011, and he travel all around the world to make people participate. I have myself participated two times: one time in Paris in 2011, and then in New York two weeks ago (in Times Square).
The idea of this project is to set up a huge photography machine in a big city and to let people take one picture of them. They can do what they want to do, they are totally free. Then, the HUGE picture is printed (almost 1meter) and is paste somewhere in the city. Look at what it looked last week in Times Square:
I think this is an amazing idea to let people doing what they want in order to create a global masterpiece. This is very inspiring! JR said that he ”transforms messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work.” The artist even admitted that he was only the “printer” of these piece of work, however I do not think so: I think he is a genius!
Have you ever heard of him? Have you ever participated?
If you are interested to know more about this project, here is the website.
I also share with you guys the photograph of me for this project in Times Square New York 2013, enjoy!
And if the world was round? Yes, well, okay, it is already a bit, but anyway.
If you writhing on the landscapes themselves, to give them a cylindrical appearance ? This was undertaken photographer Randy Scott Slavin in his series of photographs “Alternate Perspective”.
These twists and contortions of panoramic images to lavish his work a strange, confined space whilst counteracting the law of gravity. Alterations that give the impression of seeing the eye of a hurricane both solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and provide a feeling of vertigo swirl.
Today, a new ewhibition has just opened at Grand Palais in Paris : Helmut Newton Retrospective. (1920-2004).
It is the first photograph retrospective since he passed away in France where he worked for the french Vogue édition. The exhibition offers several important theme like fashion, nude, portraits and humor. There is polaroids, « vintage » photographs, as well as monumental works.
His photographs in black and white are full of sensuality and glamor. Women are mostly represented, in his work, as a dominant figure, confident even intimidating. Most of pictures have shocked many people because of nudity, as many times in art history nude is repreented. Here women are very static photographed as if they were statues.

The Museum of Modern Art is dedicating an exhibition to the famous photographer, Cindy Sherman.
Born in 1954 in the New Jersey, and became famous for her woman portraits and self portraits. She took pictures of herself in costumes, with make-up, She creates her own characters for each photography. She inspired by different medias : movie theatre, advertising, magazines and art history.
The exhibition explores Cindy Sherman careers with more recent work. She also selected videos from Moma’s collection that visitors can see. I really recommend it, this is a really good retrospective with many pictures. We are totally immerse in her work

I can’t afford to love NY (pictured below) is a great piece of art work by the artist Mariano of Argentinean descent. When shopping at the Bryant Park holiday shops a couple of months I was so impressed with this piece of art. Everything else in the shops looked so generic it was like walking through a mall, which was very disheartening for me. I loved going to the holiday shops looking for unique and special things, and I almost walked out thinking there were no special shops left thankfully my eye caught Mariano’s work right before I walked out of the shops and he proved me wrong. His work is sort of pop art meets NY meets graffiti (NY isn’t graffiti anymore). Pictured are some of my favorite pieces. Mariano also does custom pieces. I really want one like the Marilyn Monroe one but with Dame Elizabeth Taylor emphasizing of course her eyes! And as conceited as it may sound I want one of myself also like Marilyn Monroe’s emphasizing my red lips. It was such a wonderful find and I plan on purchasing some pieces real soon. Mariano lives in Brooklyn you can get in contact with him and or purchase his works either through his Etsy or Facebook pages.
