This is my favorite momen of the year:
spring is coming,
and the Cannes Film Festival is approaching.
I love this event that takes place every year in Cannes (South of France). This is the biggest and the most well-known international film festival.
I got involved in this event last year, and that was one of the most thrilling experience I have ever lived! In fact, I interned for the Cannes Film Festival 2012.
This year, Steven Spielberg is going to be the head of the jury for the main competition. Audrey Tautou (a french actress, she played in Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amelie Poulain) is going to host the opening ceremony. The festival be from 15 to 26 May 2013. It’s going to be amazing!
Do you guys are aware of this annual event?
Do you like it?
Have you ever been in Cannes to be a part of this event?
Does this event influence your choices of movie to see?
Give me your feedback!
I personnaly will get back to you when the official selection of film for the 2013 competition will be released. I will post an article to let you know!
Electric Daisy Carnival is returning to New York for the second time. Last year it was held in East Rutherford, New Jersey but for some reason it was still called “EDC NY”. This year it is going to be held at Citifield in Queens.
Electric Daisy Carnival is an annual festival of electronic dance music. EDM has grown a lot in popularity in the United States. A couple of years ago you would of never heard EDM on mainstream radio and now popular groups such as Swedish House Mafia are on the radio. There are many sub genres of EDM such as tech-house, minimal, and tribal etc which are not as popular in the United States, it is still very underground. I prefer underground house because i feel like house music is more then just jumping up and down and fist pumping. At these festivals nobody is there to judge you. Everyone is there to just be happy, dance, and have good time. The first EDC festival was held in California in 1997 and now it has grown into one of the biggest festivals in North America. The tickets for this year’s festival go on sale this Friday and if you are into house music this is a must go to event.
