I realized that we learn self esteem in our family of origin. We do not inherit it. Have you wondered about what self esteem is and how to get more of it ? All depends of circumstances, roles and events. Are you high self esteem or are you low self esteem ? I give you my experience because I thought I was low self esteem.

Low self esteem is a negative evaluation of yourself. We personalize every incident of bad events in our life. It is so alarming and confusing that we respond by destructive manner. But, global self esteem is not set in stone. We know that raising it is possible but not easy to do. See the following tips to boost your self esteem, like I do. Remember that you need to spend more time with supportive people and less time with destructive people.
1) Say stop to inner critic.
All of us have inner critic. The best way to stop your inner voice is in showing the destructive thoughts in your mind : e.g, I am not worse than my friend, I am not lazy and I do a good job and I have to continue what I do.
2) Remind yourself of the benefits.
How to keep your motivation. You have to focusing your action on your benefit : e.g, Today, I have done good things, note what are they and what you had learnt by those things.
3) Do what you really like to do.
Seeing good things in life is very important. Every day, you have to do things for your own pleasure, something that makes you feel good : e.g, Tasting a good meal, listening a relaxing music, smiling to people, laughing and forget your trouble.
4) Handle mistakes and failures in a positive way.
Everybody knows failures. It is important to accept them and understand how to succeed better next time.
5) Be your own best friend.
Thinking about parents and friends who are enthusiastic with you. It helps you to be more constructive. They are people like you. Then, this thing allows you to realize that you are a good friend for you too. Also, you must learn to love yourself.
Doing these simple things each day can help you to develop yourself more and more. It has done wonders for me. I hope it can do the same for you. You’ll be more positive and confident in any situation or any relationships.
