I love going out, and since i arrived in NYC I discovered many great restaurants, and I would like to share with you one of my favorites.
This amazing restaurant owned by Ken Friedman is called The Spotted pig and located in West Village. Whatever it is for brunch, dinner, or drinks, you should jump on any occasion to discover this little pub, where the atmosphere is trendy, kitsch and rock in the same time.
Even if the restaurant is small, you really can’t miss it. Indeed, its front window is one of the most original I’ve ever seen as many little pigs’ figurines flourished everywhere.
If you come for a drink you should definitely try their Bloody Marie! And if you come for lunch or dinner you have to taste their amazing cheeseburger made with blue cheese, and their homemade chocolate cake.
The prices are quiet interesting and not too expensive. Especially as the plates are very well garnished!
Nevertheless, the only bad critics I can make is about the long delay we have to wait in order to get a table:
we can’t make any reservations, therefore people often have to wait around one hour to get a table! You need to be patient and not too hungry! But as I just told you, you can wait at the bar with a wonderful Bloody Marie cocktail or a good glass of wine. See you there !

One week ago, it was one of the most memorable and happy evens in my life, my sisters wedding. We prepared this event all year long. Four hundred people were invited at the ceremony at the cocktail. Three hundred was attended to the dinner and to the party.
My family was very worries. It was important for them to have everything under control. The tasted the food. The had to chose between five testy chocolates cakes, different main dishes, to select good cheeses and to found the perfect win for the dinner. They also selected the music and the decoration which is not an easy things to do.
The event began at two pm. Everybody was welcoming to the property. All the guest were wearing beautiful and colorful clothes. Of course, the most beautiful one was my sister’s dress. She was so elegant in white; her haircut was also perfect. She was like a princess in a fairytale. Her future husband was also very chic in his black suit. The had four maids of honor. My sister gave her pink dresses and crown of flowers. They were so cute.
At the beginning of the dinner, my sister and her husband did a five minute-speech to thank the family warmly. I remember the exact sentences the said because I was so touched. One part of her speech was specifically addressed to me. She said how happy she was that I accept to be her witness. For me it was an obvious. I was mainly so touched that she chose me between all her girl friends.
This event is one of my best memories. I think I will never forget this day. Everything was perfect and I was so proud to see my sister in love. She realized her dream and I an sure she will have an happy life with her husband.
I arrived in New York one month ago and I admit, miss fench food terribly !
When my roommate saw my despair, she said me “Come on girl ! I know a place for you…“
So, last night, I discovered “Chez Lucienne” and I fell in Love !

“Chez Lucienne” is a small french restaurant located in the center of Harlem and run by Nadine, a frenchy become an american gril.
It’s an institution in this area and every night is full. People come to have a drink at bar or have dinner. There is a real warm atmosphere and the whole team speak french.
If your mum’s good courses miss you or if you just a french-food-fan, let you be tempted by a calf’s liver with his shallots or a coq au vin. A delight ! The menu also suggests Burgers, one of which is making with Kobé beef.Deserts are as delicious as courses. Finishing your dinner by a chocolate mousse or a Belle Hélène’s pear. You won’t regret it ! Unfortunately, there is just one problem… there isn’t cheese enough ! For french people, it hardly is a blasphemy.

Seriously, you should count approximately 45 $ per person for a drink and two courses and 22$ for one course.
To conclude, “Chez Lucienne” is a great surprise ! Particularly in this area. Everybody can find his happinness and appreciate the good french food. I wasn’t disappointed !
