Today i would like to present you the new installation of Philip K Smith III, opened in october 2013, in Joshua Tree, in California.
The artist used mirrored panels to give to the 70-years-old cabin an impression of see-through the beautiful surroundings. The mirrored panels partially cover the building’s exterior walls, as well as the windows and doorway. At night, LEDs cause the building to glow in colors.
It’s a simple enough concept, but the effect is striking and makes the building seem to almost disappear, or glow, depending on its state, which i think is really interesting.
This house is called Lucid Stead and is located on a land owned by the artist himself.
Phillip K Smith III received his Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design. He continues to push the boundaries and confront the ideas of modernist design. Drawing inspiration from the cold rigidity of the Bauhaus movement, the reductive geometries of minimalism, and the optic sensation of California’s Light and Space movement, Smith III attempts to resolve the complex challenge of finding a natural state of life and spirit within these ideological aesthetic constrictions, the results are deceptively simple and compelling objects that seem to breath and move as you observe and interact with them. Seven years ago, Topshop’s headoffice has welcomed a ton of people. The reason why ? The upcoming new collaboration Kate Moss x Topshop. In 2010, after the huge success of this last operation, they did it again. Three years and half later, the duo resurfaced and announced a new upcoming collection made by Mrs Jamie Hince for next April. « I really missed being in a process of creation and to work with the Topshop’s team. I am very excited about doing a new collection which bears my name. Now, more than ever, I feel like at home working in London with Topshop. » stated Kate Moss.
Regarding the brand side, the idea is clear : « Celebrating the Kate’s style » and the british fashion in general. If any pictures of our samples come out to the public, we already know what are going to be our master pieces. « In addition to the creation of some pop up stores in the biggest stores in the world, our goal is to launch and to sell this collection in 40 countries where Topshop is established. » explained Sir Philip Green, Topshop’s CEO.
We can’t wait !!!!
I have a friend from back home staying to my place for a month. She came for a vacation, but when you are creative you are always creative. Therefore last week we went shop some gold designs and then with my friend we started design new concept for her new collection. I admire her passion about jewelry design because she combines rest with designing her next collection. I Love people that they have passion and when I see passion I want to share it with everyone and let the people know what a good idea is to combine things.

After 40 years of loyal service the traditional yoghurt pot will be replaced. The Fresh Products France branch unveiled Tuesday, March 13 “Kiss” the new packaging for its yoghurt pots.
