Yesterday Banksy held a sale of his creations in Central Park without announcing . The surprise was unveiled today on his official website ”Better Out Than in”, where you can admire his creations.
“Yesterday I set up a stall in the park selling 100% original authentic signed Banksy canvases .
For $ 60 each. “
Before adding : ” Please note: . This was a one off The stall Will not be there again today . “
Banksy is , as he says himself ” an artist residencey on the street of New York.” It is a street artist .
Since the 1st October ( creating his Facebook Fanpage ), the artist graffs the streets of New York, before his works themselves, are recovered by those of other graffiti artists , as is the law of the street .
By selling his paintings in anonymity, affordable (they are estimated at thousands of dollars each) it is the message that art is to move everyone. Art by all, for all .

Flowers Blooming on Park Avenue
Life as a student at NYIT is an experience that I will never forget as I go along. There has been many ups and downs since I arrived here but there is lots to do where time management seems to be the utmost important. At times it does get quite stressfull and we tend to forget there are lots more worries that are even worst then what we worry about around us. Along with these in mind, little things around us like nature , colors and flowers seems to brighten my day some how throuhgout the week because the whole week has been apartment hunting for me and it was tiring! But I walked alot this week and I managed to capture amazing pictures that just made me as a student realize that these little things and pictures sure make my day throughout the week and they wre just pleasant to look at. The above was taken when I was walking through from the East Side to the West side through Central Park and it was tiring since the Park was a maze! But these flowers were blooming and they were just so beautiful as I was walking across Park Avenue. It has been said scientifically that bright colors does brighten ones day It does reflect on outfits too if you;re wearing bright colors all the time it emits a positive vibe.
Central Park West
Walking through the Park from East to West was just a really long walk. But what I’ve seen throughout the walk was just so pretty. I’ve never walked past 61st St and I was quite amazed with how the Park look on that side of town. There were big lakes and more trees that had more leaves and flowers blooming in them. It was nice to see children running around , couples hanging about and the seniors enjoying their walks and the warmth of the sun throughout the day . The view from the little bridge that i passed through that overlooks the lake was just magnificent! I eventually forgot that I was tired and lost throughout the trail headed towards the west side. The view was breathtaking. I always wondered how does such a huge park seemed to have been maintained all this year being in a centre of a very busy city. Overall it was fun and the weather was great.
The walk back to NYIT was a long one too but looking at the pictures that I got through all this walks just great. It was close to 5pm when I reached Colombus Circle and yet there were still lots of people enjoying the sun and the magnificent statue surounded by all the now blooming flowers. Taking upclose pictures if this statue, I just realized how amazing it was adorned with such marvelous architecture.Observing the children, teens and adults around the area, everyone seems to be having a great time and with all the happiness around I felt that it was a great day overall With the convenience of the subway and other public transport walking is the best because there are lots to see and capture. These things dont come around often because each day that passes by is a different day.
I don’t know if you are like me guys, but it was a real pleasure to meet Nemo this week-end!
I am living in Manhattan in Times Square, so even if I spent the worst friday night ever, staying at home “just in case”… I loved hanging out in Central Park on saturday!
I have never seen that much snow, except when I was a kid and was in the mountains to go skiing.
I took some pictures for you guys, if you did not have to chance to see that beautiful landscape! Enjoy!!
Hi guys !
In this day I have only one desire is to share with you my good mood! 30 ° C, sunshine, good music and let’s go! After a week of uncertainty, New York proves once again that this city is a paradise! I will go and take a walk in Central Park, lie down and nap on the grass at the water’s edge.
See u in few hours ! xx
Central Park is the most incredible park that I ever seen !
I will not tell you when it was created or how many hectares comprise it because first of all I do not know those informations and secondly they are kind of boring ! You do not want know the history of Central Park you want know what you can do there.
Central park is an experience that everybody can leave ! It’s the best place ever to enjoying a sunny day.
Children , Couple, family or even more between friends you will find the perfect fit of activity ! You can rent a bike or go skating in the winter for sports enthusiasts. You can rent a boat for lovers. Or just picnicking in the grass in family not to mention the dog that will benefit the park as much as the rest of the family.
Personally my friend and I we went to the Boat House a famous place for a glass of wine because we more are the kind of “high heel” girls and It’s complicated to wear this kind of shoes in the nature but that really prove that central park is really for everybody ! Cheers
