A Social Media for Business Class Experiment

Take this lollipop ! I dare you …

Life in community has never been so easy … You can talk to anyone at anytime, anywhere in the world.

You can also share information with your friends or family and use the social media as a diary, so your “community” can know everything about your life. What amazing way to communicate now.

The only problem now is that anyone can found those details on the Web and use it in a bad way. That’s why Saatchi & Saatchi, communication agency, created an original campaign to warn Internet users about the danger of uploading personal data on Facebook or any kind of social media.

“Take this lollipop” is an original way to understand what could happen if someone put to many information about himself, and also to understand that even with a few details (name or adress) a tracker can find you anywhere. When you access this website, you can see a terrifying man accesses your own Facebook profile … The site takes the information from your Facebook page and weaves it into the video.

Go try it by yourself, using your own facebook account and you will be the subject of the experience : Thrill insured !

I did this a few months ago on Facebook and it FREAKED me out! I didn’t realize it was an ad though I just thought it was a random video someone did but now that you mentioned it was a very great ad to warn people of the dangers on the Internet if ur careless with the information you put out there. I was definitely cringing during the video and the part when the guy turns his head slowly and looks directly at the camera at you I literally had to look away and even months later now I still remember it so it definitely stuck with me so it accomplished that. Good post and it’s definitely relevant to the class.
